Grandfathering

A biblical grandfather is called to be a steady, seasoned spiritual patriarch who strengthens the faith of future generations by teaching God’s truth, sharing personal stories of God’s faithfulness, modeling integrity, and speaking identity‑shaping blessing into his grandchildren’s lives.

The Bible describes a grandfather not as an absent personality or a passive bystander but as an active multigenerational discipler, one who intentionally passes down wisdom (Deut. 4:9), testifies to God’s works (Ps. 71:17–18), walks in righteousness that blesses his descendants (Prov. 20:7), and affirms the God‑given destiny of his family as Jacob did with his grandsons (Gen. 48).

Through presence, prayer, counsel, and example, a grandfather becomes a living anchor of stability and faith, helping his grandchildren know who they are, whose they are, and the spiritual legacy they are invited to carry forward.
